Vintage Kai Kristansen Teak Wall System
by MCM-SF
Kai Kristiansen's wall system, also known as the "FM wall system," is a modular shelving and storage system designed by Danish furniture designer Kai Kristiansen in the 1960s. Kristiansen is renowned for his contribution to mid-century Danish design, characterized by clean lines, functionalism, and high-quality craftsmanship.
The wall system was created in response to the growing demand for flexible and customizable storage solutions in homes and offices. It consists of various components such as shelves, cabinets, drawers, and desks that can be combined and arranged in numerous configurations to suit different spaces and needs.
This beautiful 1960s Kai wall system has eight shelves, a magazine rack, a four-drawer cabinet, a bar cabinet, one two-door cabinet, and four hanging rails. Recently imported from Denmark, it is in excellent condition for its vintage age.
